He has been a lawyer at the Kinshasa/Matete Bar since 2007.

Before joining the Aequitas Legal Partners team, Me Jean-Michel Kumbu ki Ngimbi served in several key roles, including as Coordinator of the Access to Justice Project for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Expert for the Political Governance Program of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the DRC from 2005 to 2015, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Social Security Fund.
